UP Fitness Band retains the features accredited with Jawbone’s line of functional, light and convenient products suited for daily use. A white box together with a transparent PET lid completes the packaging to provide the user with an unobstructed view of the product at a glance.
UP4 incorporates BodyMedia sensors and other innovative parts to track the wearer’s diet, exercise, sleep and heart rate for a complete 24-hour health record. Battery life is around seven days, and the wrist band uses a clasp to allow for adjustments.
The packaging aims to enhance the UP4 Fitness Band’s light yet durable qualities and at the same time portray the vitality and status of potential wearers.
A transparent PET-G lid was fixed to a white box with a cone-shaped interior to best display the Fitness Band and its sensors. The white box itself is attached with a strap at the bottom functioning as a tab to pull out the drawer holding the product. Out of 20 different kinds, a strong ribbon of great texture was selected and used to complete the original concept.
The biggest challenge we faced during manufacturing was to prevent scratches being formed on the transparent PET-G lid during UV printing. Thus, scratch-proof PET-G and silk screen printing were used to create opaque coloring on a transparent, scratch-proof surface. Fudy spent time and expert craftsmanship in order to produce the high quality our clients desired.
