Fudy Group ESG Journey and Sustainability Plan

Since designating 2022 as the first year of our ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) journey, Fudy Group has been continuously advancing our ESG initiatives. Through this process, we have understood that ESG encompasses various directions, each with its validity. We can only guide all Fudy Group employees to implement these values in their daily work by setting clear development goals and a broad direction.

Therefore, in early 2023, the Fudy Sustainable Development Working Group preliminarily formulated the “4L FOR LOVE” sustainability policy as a basis for each plant to develop its annual sustainability plan. In 2024, we plan to conduct workshops to engage all employees in mapping, learning, and brainstorming and to unveil Fudy Group’s sustainability strategy blueprint by the end of the year.

Introduction to the “4L FOR LOVE” Sustainability Policy

The “4L FOR LOVE” sustainability policy was established by the Fudy Sustainable Development Working Group  in early 2023. We hope that all employees and stakeholders will benefit from Fudy Group’s efforts in promoting sustainable development. The ultimate goal of “4L FOR LOVE” is to ensure that everything and everyone we care about can thrive together.

TO LEARN: Knowledge Accumulation and Sharing

  • Understanding Carbon Footprint and Environmental Awareness: Promote monitoring and managing carbon emissions to foster a deeper understanding of environmental protection and sustainable development among employees.
  • Environmental Training Program: Implement a structured environmental training program to boost employees’ awareness and skills in sustainability and empower them to actively engage in carbon reduction efforts.

TO LESSEN: Energy Saving, Carbon Reduction, and Eco-Friendly Design

  • Embracing Sustainable Living: Encourage using fewer single-use items, support eco-friendly products, and optimize resource usage.
  • Efficient Resource Management: Decrease paper usage, promote digital office practices, advocate for double-sided printing, and enhance internal resource efficiency.
  • Green Supply Chain: Partner with certified eco-friendly suppliers and advocate for adopting environmentally friendly products.
  • Recycling and Waste Management: Establish recycling stations and waste sorting areas, and encourage active participation in recycling efforts and minimizing environmental impact.

TO LEVEL UP: Employee Empowerment and Enhancing Well-being

  • Empowering Employees: Strengthen employees’ skills while boosting their job satisfaction.
  • Ongoing Training: Offer regular technical and knowledge-based training sessions to help employees tackle sustainability management challenges better.
  • Physical and Mental Wellness Initiatives: To support employees’ overall well-being, organize a range of activities, such as volunteer days, recreational outings, nature walks, and creative workshops.

TO LET LIVING: Promoting Biodiversity

  • Protecting Ecosystems: Advocate for safeguarding natural ecosystems like forests, oceans, and grasslands to support biodiversity.
  • Engaging in Community Environmental Initiatives: Participate actively in local environmental activities, such as tree planting and beach clean-ups, to contribute to practical ecological conservation efforts.
  • Collaborating for Ecological Protection: Work with relevant organizations to back ecological protection projects, and offer funding and expertise to sustain natural ecosystems.
  • Promoting Eco-Tourism: Encourage employees to participate in eco-friendly tourism, which will foster a deeper respect and care for the natural world.
