Step30: Bringing Hope to Impoverished Regions in Africa

Step30 is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving living conditions in impoverished areas of Africa. Its mission is to help local residents prevent sand flea infections by collecting second-hand shoes and delivering them to rural East Africa. In these regions, the sand flea infection rate is as high as 60%, posing a severe threat to residents’ health.

In addition to providing shoes, the organization conducts medical treatment and health education for sand flea infections and assists in improving local living environments. Their efforts not only bring substantial help to local residents but also bring them hope and dignity.

Fudy’s 2024 Charity Event: Joining Hands with Stop30, Spreading Love Across Borders

Adhering to the principle of “Let Love Cross Borders,” Fudy launched a heartwarming charity event in May 2024 in collaboration with Step30. We firmly believe that every pair of old shoes carries hope, and every act of kindness can bring change to lives far away.

Enthusiastic Employee Participation, Fruitful Results

During the month-long event, Fudy employees enthusiastically responded, participating in this cross-border relay of love. We not only initiated a second-hand goods collection within the company but also held a meaningful charity sale. Through the joint efforts of all colleagues, we achieved impressive results:

· Collected 77 pairs of old shoes

· Collected 37 bags

· Collected 256 pieces of clothing

· Raised NT$3,100 through charity sales

To further expand the impact of the event, the company decided to make an additional donation of NT$10,000, extending this love even further and wider.

These seemingly ordinary items will cross mountains and seas to bring warmth and hope to children in rural Africa. Each pair of shoes may help a child avoid sand flea infestations, each piece of clothing may bring warmth to a family, and every dollar donated will be transformed into a force for improving local living conditions.
