Fudy Taipei Headquarters expects to establish a security management system for the supply chain and get a system verification by 2023. In order to achieve this goal, Fudy is implementing CTPAT requirements to establish an entire company and factory security system, ensuring that goods can be safely delivered to customers and preventing smuggling and penetration activities from affecting the supply chain.

What is CTPAT?

CTPAT stands for Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism, established by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The primary purpose is to ensure the safe transportation of goods entering the United States throughout the supply chain.

How does CTPAT work?

When an entity joins CTPAT, an agreement is made to work with CBP to protect the supply chain, identify security gaps, and implement specific security measures and best practices. Applicants must address a broad range of security topics and present security profiles that list action plans to align security throughout the supply chain.

CTPAT members are considered to be of low risk, and are therefore less likely to be examined at a U.S. port of entry.

Why is Fudy applying for CTPAT third-party verification?

Fudy hopes to become the most reliable partner in its customer’s supply chain, so Fudy must actively make efforts in ESG and continuously strive for improvement.

Although we cannot actively apply for CBP verification (from which we must be invited by CBP or American companies), we are willing to cooperate with customers’ needs. We are taking the first step to make our production process meet the CTPAT standards and inviting professional third parties to conduct an audit to obtain a trustworthy report. This will prove that Fudy is highly compliant with CTPAT regulations in the manufacturing and transportation process.
