Sustainable Development: Fudy Supports Pinglin Jinguoliao Fern Path to Protect the Environment

Fudy is committed to sustainable development. In 2024, Taipei Fudy partnered with the Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture in Yilan, Taiwan, to officially launch a collaboration on environmental cleanliness to support the Pinglin Jinguoliao Fern Path. This initiative demonstrates our dedication to ecological conservation.

Why Choose the Pinglin Jinguoliao Fern Path?

This path is situated near Taipei Fudy and easily accessible by public transportation, making it easier for employees to engage in environmental initiatives. Furthermore, the path runs along Jinguoliao Creek, a tributary of the Beishi River and a crucial water source for the Taipei metropolitan area. Given that Fudy’s headquarters’ water supply comes from the Feitsui Reservoir, adopting the Jinguoliao Fern Path also reflects our concern for our drinking water environment.

Furthermore, this effort aligns with three key points of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals:

– SDG6 Clean Water and Sanitation: Jinguoliao Creek is one of the upstream branches of the Feitsui Reservoir, directly impacting the water security of the Taipei metropolitan area.

– SDG15 Life on Land: The Jinguoliao Fern Path is in a water source protection area where a clean creek fosters an environment conducive to ecosystem development, enriching flora and fauna.

– SDG17 Partnerships for the Goals: By collaborating with the Yilan Agency, we have forged a robust partnership focused on environmental protection and sustainable development.

To celebrate the commencement of adopting the path, we will host the “Glowing Dots, Fudy Mountain Cleanup and Ecological Tour” event on April 27 and May 4, 2024. During this event, employees and their families can participate in mountain cleanup activities and be led by expert tour guides to unravel the ecological wonders of the Jinguoliao Fern Path.

Additionally, the event on May 4 extends a warm welcome to our supplier partners and customers to join us. Through this event, we aspire to collectively experience Taiwan’s unique ecological beauty with all our partners and contribute to safeguarding this precious natural resource together.
