“Planting Trees Isn’t an Outdated Idea: Modern Practices in Ecological Conservation”

Trees are not just beautiful scenery; they actively absorb carbon dioxide, helping mitigate the impacts of climate change. However, it is crucial to consider the local climate and ecological factors when undertaking tree-planting initiatives. The best practice is to choose native species and plan carefully before afforestation.

Taipei Fudy’s Collaboration with the Hualien Branch of the Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency, Ministry of Agriculture: Tree Adoption and Protection

Driven by the profound impact of tree conservation on ecosystems, Taipei Fudy is dedicated to giving back to the environment. In partnership with the Hualien Branch of the Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency, Taipei Fudy is committed to adopting and safeguarding trees in the forestry area of Mashi Mountain, Guanfu Township, Hualien County.

Understanding Tree Planting and Protecting

Tree planting and protecting encompasses nurturing, afforestation, and tree preservation. This project involves selecting existing forest areas for tree planting and prioritizing local native species for replanting in case of tree loss or damage.

Tree protection is paramount as trees play a vital role in carbon storage and biodiversity conservation. Each mature tree functions as a micro-ecosystem; its removal can impact the entire ecosystem. Therefore, while tree planting is essential, ensuring their protection is equally critical.

Fudy’s Sustainable Commitment

Taipei Fudy’s commitment involves adopting forest areas for tree replanting, contributing to carbon sequestration, habitat protection, and biodiversity restoration – priorities that Taipei Fudy deems crucial.
