Job Description: Senior Packaging Designer
Fudy Solutions, Inc. is looking for a Senior Packaging Designer that has a passion for driving innovative retail packaging solutions with a focus on sustainability.
- Engage with end customers (in coordination with the Fudy Development Team) to establish innovative packaging strategies built around cost optimization, sustainability, and customer experience.
- Lead the packaging development process from ideation of packaging concepts to execution of structural drawings and DFM (design for manufacturing) reviews.
- Utilize Fudy prototyping equipment and sample library to prepare customer prototype samples.
- Coordinate packaging strategies across Fudy development centers.
- Stay in tune with the latest packaging trends, sustainability strategies, and material innovations.
Education and Experience Requirements
- BS in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with sustainable packaging design, materials, and ISTA testing protocols.
- 5 years+ of experience working with packaging materials, creative design, prototype sampling, and manufacturing knowledge. Design portfolio of prior work is encouraged.
- Ability to design in the following materials: corrugated, molded fiber, rigid box / folding carton, blister
- Experience working with consumer packaging solutions using 2D (ArtiosCad or Auto Cad)and 3D (SolidWorks or Pro-E) and Rendering (Keyshot) CAD applications.
- Software experience: AutoCad, Solidworks, ArtiosCad, Keyshot.Adobe Illustrator. Knowledge of FEA software (Ansys, SOLIDWORKS simulation, ABACUS or equivalent is a bonus)
- Language: The ability to communicate in both English and Madarin is a bonus!
