Fudy’s Strategy to Create Social Value

Society is an organism expressed through human interaction, and it includes all of us. With the nutrients provided by society, enterprises can develop and profit. Therefore, enterprises should make contributions to repay society for the benefits they have gained.

What have we done so far?

Fudy knows that a company’s growth is partly due to the nourishment of society. Therefore, Fudy makes a fixed monthly donation of NTD 14,000 to several designated nonprofits. There are six NPOs to whom Fudy makes regular donations, and they can be divided into three types:

1. Childcare education: When he was a child the chairman’s family was poor, therefore it was challenging to obtain educational resources. Because of his personal experiences, the chairman deeply understands the power of education and believes that education can change a child’s fate. Thus, Fudy makes a fixed monthly donation to the Seed of Love Education Foundation, hoping to bring some modest power to disadvantaged children in Taiwan.
2. Helping the disabled: There are many people with disabilities in society who are living difficult lives. Fudy hopes to help them rebuild their lives and hopefully they can further return to the community. Therefore, Fudy makes regular donations to the Taiwan Foundation for the Blind, the Sunshine Social Welfare Foundation, and the Yu-An Disabled Children’s Home.
3. From the heart to goodness: Fudy believes that society needs positive forces, whether it is humanitarian work or animal welfare. The Red Cross and the Heart of Taiwan Animal Care are among the NPOs to whom Fudy makes regular donations.

In addition to regular donations, Fudy utilizes the company’s core capabilities to help print the Buddha Mind magazine. Moreover, this year Fudy has purchased charity gifts from the Down Syndrome Foundation and the Taiwan Foundation for the Blind as Mid-Autumn Festival gifts for its employees and customers. Fudy believes that as long as we seize every opportunity to do good deeds and continue the trickle of goodness, we will become the living water of goodness.

Look back to the past, examine the present, anticipate the future

Fudy has a long history of making donations to show our gratitude towards the society that made us. Although it is a small donation, it has been uninterrupted, and we hope it can become a powerful force.

However, by looking back to the past and examining the present, Fudy understands that our current charitable giving is far less than the nourishment given to us by society. By focusing on our core capability to participate in philanthropic causes and provide positive social value, we developed primary short-term goals which are as follows:

1. Establish a volunteer leave system for employees, and provide educational courses (such as paper structure puzzles, printing knowledge, and color application) to children in nurseries.
2. Combine “packaging structural design” and “packaging manufacturing” capabilities to collaborate with animal welfare groups to provide recyclable paper shelters for sheltering animals.
