Fudy’s recognition for sustainable development from ZYXEL Group

On November 24, 2023, MitraStar Technology, under ZYXEL Group (3704), recently received subsidies from the Industrial Development Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs for the “Low Carbonization and Smart Transformation of Large and Small Manufacturing Industries collaboration” project. This marks MitraStar Technology’s active participation in the industrial upgrading plan, further promoting low-carbon transformation. ZYXEL Group aims to enhance carbon reduction efficiency through digital management systems, encourage the supply chain to initiate ISO14064-1 greenhouse gas inventory, implement incentive programs to create green product materials jointly and apply sustainable design concepts throughout the product life cycle.

Fudy is honored to join MitraStar Technology’s “Low Carbonization and Smart Transformation of Large and Small Manufacturing Industries collaboration” project and will complete the ISO14064-1 greenhouse gas inventory with the assistance of MitraStar Technology by 2024 (covering the scope of the year 2023).

As a leading company in the packaging industry, Fudy profoundly integrates into the green trend. General Manager Wu Huiming emphasized the urgent need for businesses of all sizes to undergo green transformation. One-third to half of Fudy’s customers come from the 3C, IT, and electronics industries, which have been leading the green supply chain and sustainable development, and demand that Fudy follow suit. Therefore, Fudy has voluntarily implemented ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) and published sustainability reports annually since 2022.

The 2023 Sustainable Development Supplier award by ZYXEL Investment Group recognizes Fudy’s commitment to sustainable development. While feeling honored, Fudy continues to explore the need to implement further sustainable development commitments and actions to live up to customer recognition.

ZYXEL’s Sustainable Director Lin Jinlan stated that with the upcoming implementation of the EU and US carbon border adjustment mechanism and the requirements from significant brands, carbon reduction has become a critical factor in corporate competitiveness. ZYXEL Group has developed a roadmap for achieving net-zero transformation by 2050, committing to a 50% carbon reduction by 2030. They have also established an ESG digital sustainability management platform, encouraged the supply chain to initiate ISO14064-1 greenhouse gas inventory, and set up a “Zero Carbon Academy” to assist the supply chain in strengthening carbon reduction capabilities, aiming for long-term net-zero goals.
