A total solution, we mean it! –Process improvement case study

A Total solution,the one-stop solution service, means to provide customers with all the technologies and services needed, from the product design to the production process. Packaging has three major steps: packaging and structural design, packaging printing and manufacturing, and transportation.

If we study these three steps carefully, each can be subdivided into countless small steps that need professional knowledge.

Today, we would like to share with you the four process improvement technologies that our Suzhou Fuyang Design Center is applying for patents:

  1. Improvement of lining jig for M Company’s packaging

There are six folding lines in this packaging liner. The original manufacturing process requires manual front and back folding and then sticking to another inner liner. The distance between the front and back folding lines is only 6mm, which is very small, and it is not easy to fold manually. Therefore, the production is very time-consuming and labor-intensive, and only about 300 per hour can be folded manually.

M company  had a large production demand for this product and had delivery pressure. Therefore, we have specially customized a special jig for this product and installed this jig on the existing pressing rigid box air bubbles machine. As a result, six folding lines can be folded 90 degrees forward and backward with one movement. The completed volume per hour has been successfully increased to about 1,000, dramatically improving productivity and pulling in the delivery date.
  1. Improvement of lining jig for Starxxcks’ packaging

This product has nine folded lines, six forward and three reverse folds. Manual folding was initially planned. Due to the large volume of demands and the slow speed of manual folding, a secondary control circuit, and a special molding jig were installed on the foaming machine. As a result, the inner lining of this product can be automatically formed and produced, and the output capacity outpaces three times that of manual folding.

  1. MICRO SXXT’s automatic folding equipment for carton side support bar

MS Company’s brown box is small and narrow, with a width of only 28mm and a fold line spacing of 6.8mm. The output of manual folding of the box is about 1,000 per hour. We put special folding knives on the idle folder-gluer accessories, and with motors, we made it into simple automatic folding equipment. If the machine goes non-stop, the folding capacity is as high as 30,000 per hour, and the efficiency is 30 times that of manual folding. 
  1. L-shaped corner-cutting equipment

The customer requested two L-shaped cut corners for the product manual. After several tests, we folded the pages and directly glued them into perfect binding before cutting them into finished products. Finally, we die-cut the manual with a modified Air Bubbles Machine.

Using therigid box air bubbles machine and control system, we installed the stroke-limiting collar stoppers with two different punching sizes in one punching machine. This method is low in cost, simple in operation, and meets customer needs and budgets.
